My Experience at Camp Impact by Kumari Acharya
My experience in attending the recently held Camp Impact & the 1st Open Invitation for Kukkiwon Black Belt Examination at JSTARC center in Navi Mumbai was tremendous. On the very first day we were taught the etiquettes of Taekwondo & its basics. Since my group & I had reached in advance we had an early start with V. Padma, One of the senior coaches of JSTARC.
The basics were followed by training in Poomsae, Taekwondo Dance with the help of Vishak who is one of the senior members of Team JSTARC. No matter what the time was or how long had he been teaching us, Vishak was ready to work with us on various aspects until each one of us was taught well & had left that place. First of all I have to thank Vishak for his co-operation and support.
The general idea was 'Training would go on till Master would say'. This kept us away from laziness. I am really thankful to my Masters - Master Nilesh Jalnawala and Master Jai Kumar, for giving us the chance of getting trained at the Camp Impact & participate in the 1st Open Invitation for Kukkiwon Black Belt Examination at JSTARC center in Navi Mumbai. I really learnt a lot there and have given the best I could at the Black Belt Exams. JSTARC taught me how to respect everyone around us and show complete character in what we do...
I thought I was the best in Bangalore. However, when I came to Mumbai for the Camp I came to know that it is nothing what I learned till today. I had to undergo lot of corrections in all the movements and techniques. I will make sure that I will keep in mind the corrections suggested and learn to truly become the best. The most important thing that I learnt was that no matter how much I had learnt, there was a chance to improve myself. Now I have a confidence in participating in various events and give my best.
The name Impact truly justifies as it has made a huge impact in my life & I am sure of many others too. Every one in JSTARC was very co-operative and respective & I did learn some thing important from each one of them.
Lastly I want to thank Master Nilesh Jalnawala for giving me a chance to perform along with JSTARC Demonstration Team. Its an honor for me & consider it one of my accomplishments.
On a personal note I would like to share a couple of things with you all.
At a point I was ready to resign my job of the past 3 & ½ years, since I did not get leave approved from my company. But at the last minute they sanctioned it due to my loyalty with them for the past years. I had inhibitions about my Black Belt exams as I wanted to achieve the excellence of Team JSTARC before attempting it. But it turned out to be a great experience with JSTARC.
I also met my husband, Master Jai Kumar because of Taekwondo. The sport has given me so much in life & made it complete. In a sense it has truly become my 'Way of Life'
Last but not least, I thank once again to my Masters, Master Nilesh Jalnawala, Master Chandru and Master Jai Kumar, I would like to thank all my seniors, friends and each and every member of JSTARC. I thankful to Padma, Nidhi, Vishak, Aditya, Adit, Chinar, Prajot, Yash who have always co-operated and supported and made me laugh till the last day I came back to Banglore.
This experience is an unforgettable Impact in my life. Kumari Genesh Acharya.
