TAEKWONDO - A Way Of Life by Aditya
I always wondered why was it called 'A way of Life...' very true that it taught all the atiquettes you need not only for the sport but also in your life...RESPECT RESPONSIBILITY REPRESENT UNITY and many many more things I thought i knew a lot about it.....but things changed... I am really grateful to my Master, Master Nilesh Jalnawala, for making the chance of training at the prestigious Namchang Dojang, under Master Kang Shin-Chul, possible...I really learnt A LOT there Till today the veteran Master follows the traditional way of Taekwondo where all the students take a vow before training that they will perform/train with all their heart, give in the best they can, respect everyone around them and show complete character in what they do... Training would go on till Master would say. No matter how tired you are you have to put in your best because you took a vow before starting... After the tiring regime is over all are suppose to sit, close their eyes and ask themselves IF THEY FULFILLED WHAT THEY PROMISED... I reallly think that this is a way how a person really grows in character- if he can really live upto his own promise... The way of training really gives a holy feeling to the place... We even had the chance to see the museum which the students had made for him in his absence...it had the smallest of achievements that Master Kang had achieved. It really showed the endless love and respect that the students had for him... Even more surprising was a small room inside the museum for the Muslims where they could offer their prayers...Taekwondo really has no boundaries All of this has made a huge impact on the way i see the art and life... I thank my Master for this opportunity that he bestowed upon us I promise to give my heart and soul to makin OUR goals a reality It is truly an honour to be a part of JSTARC...Thank you Sir TAEKWONDO - truly A Way of Life |
