JSTARC has had a very successful 2009. The efforts of team JSTARC have not only been recognized in India but by winning medals our students have made their presence felt & acknowledged in the international scenario. There have been many events that have given a boost to our mission of popularizing taekwondo culture. Giving you is a list of our achievements & endeavors over the past year. January 2009
JSTARC Organized the 'JSTARC's Open Taekwondo Games', an all India level championship at the D.Y.Patil stadium in Navi Mumbai. The event witnessed a 50 member K-Tiger delegation which consisted Masters, demo teams, trainers etc., about 3000 participants of various states of India & about 25,000 viewers. It was the biggest Taekwondo event in India & we introduced the kids catagory, workshop for master instructors & students. There were competitions for Sparing, Poomsae & demonstrations. It was a first ever comprehensive championship in India. JSTARC conferred the Kukkiwon awards on

JSTARC launched its own website & getting connected to all Taekwondo aspirants around the globe

JSTARC conducted its 30 days training program known as 'Korea Fest'. In its endeavor to popularize Modern Taekwondo in India JSTARC has planned a series of tours, which will provide all Taekwondo practitioners an International stage to learn under Grand Masters, World Champions & get a chance to sharpen their skills and enhance the performance.
June 2009
The students of JSTARC have formed a successful Demo team. This team had participated in a talent hunt show on Sony entertainment channel- 'Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega'. They were finalists on the same.
August 2009
JSTARC opens Gym & Taekwondo training institute in Bangalore. The branch is managed by Mr. K. Jai Kumar.
10th Main Road, 4th Block, Maruthi Layout, Hennur Cross, Opp. Indian Academy Pre-University College Road, Bangalore- 560 043.
The same was followed by opening up of 2 more centers in Khargar & Ghatkoper.

JSTARC's Nidhi Nair won the Bronze Medal at the 7th Chuncheon Open.
6th August 2009
JSTARC recently held its Annual Felicitation Ceremony on August 6, 2009 at their Nerul Center. The event commenced with a prayer & proceeded to the Color belt felicitation (19th belt gradation exam), Black Belt felicitation ceremony & the felicitation of individual students. The event witnessed the speeches of JSTARC founder, Mr. Nilesh Jalnawala & some of its students. The program ended with a fabulous demo by the JSTARC demo team. Felicitations Awarded

10 Players of JSTARC, under the guidance of head coach Master Nilesh Jalnawala participated in the 'World Taekwondo Hanmadang'09' which was held in the Dangjin Stadium.

Delegation from JSTARC to represented India at the 1st Seoul World Taekwondo Leaders Forum
A four member delegation from Jalnawala's Sports Training & Research Center (JSTARC), noted sports & Taekwondo organization, headed by Master Nilesh Jalnawala, represented India at the 1st Seoul World Taekwondo Leaders Forum. The event was an initiative of Kukkiwon- the world Taekwondo headquarters, was held in the 1st week of September at the Dynasty Hall of the Seoul Shilla Hotel, Gyeonghuigung.
Master Nilesh Jalnawala was invited to attend the forum on behalf of the president of Kukkiwon & had assembled this group of associate masters.
The delegation consisted of: 1. Master Nilesh Jalnawala (5th Dan) 2. Master Balkrisha Bhandari (5th Dan) 3. Master Nilesh Gadekar (4th Dan)

Instructor Anil Shinde from Malegaon was conferred a full scholarship of JSTARC. He will undergo 3 months of advance training at the JSTARC center.

Nidhi Nair of JSTARC reaches in the semi-final of the world championships held at Egypt.

JSTARC recently conducted its 2nd Black Belt exam which witnessed a participation of 22 students across India. It was held on 27th December' 09 at the Vashi center. The students were evaluated by a panel of experts of the JSTARC technical team. The black belt exam is certified by the Kukkiwon, Korea.

Team JSTARC's rendezvous with nature at Nature Trails camp, Durshet.
JSTARC's annual camp / picnic was at the Nature Trails, Durshet. It was a 2 day adventure camp at a campsite in Khopoli (Durshet Forest). 20 JSTARC students from the age group of 5 years to 35 years along with 2 instructors had a fun & activity filled adventure.

Punjab team completes a 10 days Taekwondo camp at JSTARC center at Vashi.
The ten-day period saw the hosting of a Taekwondo training camp held by JSTARC at its Vashi centre. The camp was for a seven- member team from Punjab. The team was under the guidance of their head coach Mr. Pawan Kumar. The training included Poomsae (Forms), Taekwondo Aerobics, Taekwondo Dance, acrobatics, sparring and Demonstration techniques. The course for each day was spread over four sessions from 6.30 am to 9.00 pm conducted by three instructors.
